More than 3,000 people have died from Equine flu in the UK since 2013.

The health ministry said more than 2450 cases had been officially reported, mostly in London and the Home Counties.

Officials say they are investigating the cause of the outbreak, with some experts saying low winter temperatures are to blame.

The H9N1 virus, which causes equine flu, first appeared in Romania in 2013 and rapidly spread around the world.

It killed 981 Britons in 2009, 1,763 in 2010, 75 in 2011 and 405 last year.

It is thought the virus has killed 200,000 people around the world.

UK officials said 246 cases had been recorded in Durham where 154 people had died. The capital, London, has reported 800 deaths so far.

But, with more than 860 cases reported in the city in February 2013, London authorities have ordered 22 hospitals - including five private clinics - to set up isolation wards to treat cases of equine flu.

Health officials said there was "no need for panic", but advised people to take precautions "for prevention and management of the disease".

Equine flu is a respiratory disease which is caused by a strain of the influenza type A virus known as H9N1.

Although the disease originated in horses, it is now a wholly human disease and is spread by coughing and sneezing.

Scientists say symptoms of swine flu in humans appear to be similar to those produced by standard, seasonal flu - fever, cough, sore throat, body aches and chills. Some people with the virus also experience nausea and diarrhoea.

Experts say vulnerable groups include pregnant women, children under five, the over-65s and those with serious conditions such as heart disease, asthma, diabetes or immunosuppressive illnesses.

In a press statement today to Haaretz, Benjamin Netanyahu gave a frank admission of the situation in Palestine. "We need to look to the future, we have been wrong. Zionism is such an intolerable ideology." he is quoted as saying today.

Stop the War Coalition and many other pressure groups across the world have globally commended Netanyahu for his words today. Tony Benn said that he was relieved that Benjamin Netanyahu came to these conclusions.

Benjamin Netanyahu also added that he wants less American influence on the ongoing peace talks and also called for the Apartheid Wall to be knocked down.

Mark Regev, the Israeli spokesperson for the Israeli Prime Minister was also immediately dismissed from his position due to, in Benjamin's own words "his persistent tomfoolery, lying and misplacing of facts".

Latest News @ CWNC.Net: Quadistan receives gift from Libya

An advisor to the NTC in Libya has given a gift to Sir Quadalot, a local journalist has claimed.

The journalist known as Miss Rata, a local Libyan journalist and blogger based at Danebury Avenue says she has "evidently seen" someone representing the NTC meet Sir Quadalot a "few times" at The Quad.

She has purpotedly written on her blog that the gift is the severed head of Colonel Gaddafi who was killed a few days ago when he was "unlawfully killed" by rebel soldiers. She believes that the head of Gaddafi may act as an "Arabian Scarecrow" designed to deter the Common Fresher [Freshus Freshus] from occupying the sovereign land of Quadistan.

We tried to get in contact with Sir Quadalot over these claims but unfortunately he was neither at his palace nor at the university. Local sources such as the Roehampton Lane Journal say that he is currently promoting the Favorite Chicken fast food company in poorer countries in an effort to stop world poverty.

Latest News @ CWNC.Net: Ramadan Approaching in Quadistan

Speaking at Roehampton University to the Quadistani Workers Journal, Sir Quadalot said that he is "committed" to Ramadan this year. Sir Quadalot was heavily criticised last year when he failed to undertake Ramadan due to a Royal visit to Favorite Chicken at Danebury Avenue which went horribly wrong.

Critics had noted that he was "nearing death" and gave in to the smell of the food at the eaterie. He consumed some chicken which meant his commitment to Ramadan was void.

Speaking after the event which shook the glorious nation of Quadistan, Sir Quadalot expressed his deepest apologies to anyone whom he had caused offence.

Sir Quadalot has employed some more Royal Guards in order to protect him from consuming any food during Ramadan. However this has caused more controversy as he directly threatened Student Finance England to raise the tuition fees by £85 in order to satisfy the costs in employing the guards.

The NUT has condemned this move as unlawful and possible strike action could be announced in the next following days when all of its members have taken a vote.

Latest News @ CWNC.Net: Quadistan invaded by illegal immigrants

A group of Quadistani citizens were left in shock as a horde of illegal immigrants entered the country without any visas or passports. Rumours at the time of event suggested the immigrants were Spanish, but a local linguist quickly identified the immigrants as Italian.

Possible reasons for the mass influx of immigrants include the oppressive regime of Silvio Berlusconi and possible tax evasion.

Unfortunately due to the unique political situation that Quadistan is involved in, the immigrants entered Roehampton University first, therefore it remains extremely hard for Sir Quadalot and the authorities to declare the immigrants as personae non gratae. The university must make it clear if they are to remain at the university.
